About the Growth & Innovation Grant
The Bayou City Hangouts Growth & Innovation Grant (GIG) is a $500 award designed to support emerging small business owners and vendors who are actively growing their presence in the Houston marketplace. The GIG is awarded to vendors who have demonstrated commitment to the BCH community by participating in Bayou City Hangouts pop-up events and are ready to take their next step. Funds may be used for business supplies, inventory, marketing materials, equipment, or other costs directly related to vending and business operations.

Eligibility requirements
To qualify for the GIG, applicants must meet ALL of the following criteria:
• Own or operate a small business or vendor operation based in or serving the Houston area.
• Have participated as a vendor in at least two (2) previous Bayou City Hangout events.
• Be in good standing with Bayou City Hangouts (no outstanding balances or code of conduct violations).
• Commit to participating in at least one (1) upcoming Bayou City Hangout event if awarded.
• Commit to at least one give-back contribution to the BCH community within 12 months of receiving the
award
Note: Grant funds are awarded as a one-time payment. Recipients may reapply in future grant cycles.
HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION
Complete the form digitally or print and scan. Email your completed application to programs@bayoucityhangouts.com
with the subject line:GIG Application – [Your Business Name] by March 31, 2026.
Applications are reviewed by the BCH Grant Review Committee. All applicants will be notified of the committee’s decision by email. Due to the volume of applications, we are unable to provide individual feedback on unsuccessful applications
